Question: Does Androstene Cause A Positive On A Drug Test?

| Does androstene cause a positive on a drug test? Do they check for a particular steroid or do they rate testosterone levels and make the conclusion from that? If I take androstene for a short period of time, (about one or two months) will it show up in a drug test months later?

I have a student who is wondering how long it takes to get andro out of your system and how do they test for it? In other words, how long would you need to stop taking it before you were tested for it and would it show up in a blood or urine test?

Depending on the company that tests you, you will not pop positive due to the fact that steroid testing is extremely expensive. Most drug tests look for Alcohol use within the last 24 hours, marijuana and cocaine use. Since andro is legal just ask the testing agency what they are testing for, if they say steroids then just tell them that you are taking andro. That will go into the report and you wont get nailed for using roids. As for getting out of your system, it usually stays in the muscles for time periods up to 3 months.

I have just taken a drug test through the United States Coast Guard and I popped positive. My protein test was through the ceiling. I am not on any drugs other than Andro. I did notice a big difference in my body. Luckily, I told them I was on it before I failed. They said though that I cannot take it anymore because they do consider it an illegal substance, unless being taken for medical uses. So, if you are thinking about joining the service and you are on andro, don't be surprised if you to fail your test. Make sure you tell them that you are on it so they can send it to the lab to be checked!
