| Consumer Review: While On Andro, I Suffered A Strained Oblique And Lower Ab. It Also Seems To Be Giving Me A Limp Willy. |
I'm 19 years old. I am a powerlifter. I'm not a firm believer in supplements. I believe that anabolic steroids work, of course, but the side effects are too costly. I have tried 3 supplements -- a week powder called Anabolic Muscle (or something) that didn't seem to do anything, creatine serum, and androstenedione.
After 2 days of creatine serum, my squat went up about 30 pounds. My bench slowly increased after time (due to training or creatine - one wouldn't know). I would stop taking it after a few weeks and start again later for a couple reasons. Mainly because of the bad headaches I got the next morning until I chugged water, and secondly just to cycle it. I found that it all went to garbage by the time a good part of the bottle was gone. I didn't find it helpful.
I recently started taking androstenedione from Weider, just a cheap kind to try. I haven't been working as hard in the gym, so I can't ask to see many results, because what TRULY matters is the training and not the supplements. And I read somewhere on this site where someone (I believe he was a quarterback from Texas or something) was talking about being more prone to injury while taking androstenedione, I think. Once while on andro, I was deadlifting and my belt was a little too tight. After one of the sets, I had strained my right oblique and my lower ab, and of course, being the idiot I am, I did some more sets. The next morning I woke up with a sore back. But 3 weeks without deadlifting and hardly any squatting and it's still not gone. Possibly from holding heavy weight at my sides with shrugs, picking up dumbbells, and military press, possibly taking androstenedione.
Also, as a Christian, I try not to think about sex that much. Of course, I can still get an erection when I do get turned on. But I think I've noticed that since starting andro, while just lounging around, I'm a bit more limp.
Is there any possibility that androstenedione could cause injury, and if so, how much of a possibility? Is an idol willy a side effect as well?
Thanks for your time,
T.T.
