| Consumer Review: The Caffeine, Aspirin, Ephedrine Stack May Have Caused Stomach Bleeding. |
I am one of the many fighting that last few pounds to that ultimate goal. I purchased the caffeine, aspirin, ephedrine stack in attempts to burn some stubborn fat. I took it for about 3 weeks and ended up at the Doc's office getting a scope run down my throat because of bleeding in my stomach. This could be nothing but a problem I carry from Desert Storm, but beware of this stack and just know that all three ingredients attack the stomach lining. So, take in moderation and not at all if any stomach Problem history.

I read about a fellow who had some stomach bleeding very possibly from the intake of the Caffeine-Aspirin-Ephedrine stack that is supposed to increase fat-loss. Though it is true that correlation does not mean causation, I cannot rule out the possibility that my recent problems were caused by this supplement stack. I ran the last 6 miles of the Boston Marathon while heavily under the influence of alcohol on this past Patriot's Day. When I got home there was blood in my urine. Fortunately, it was just that one time and I have seen no more blood since then. I have, however, stopped taking that stuff.

| I started taking the ECA stack a week ago today. I took 25mg Ephedrine, 250mg Caffeine, and 325mg Aspirin three times daily at 4 hour intervals. For the first four days I noticed a great energy boost and really felt great. On the fifth day, after taking the same dosage all day, I noticed that I was bleeding rectally fairly bad. The aspirin was what I suspected (stomach bleeding) but I went to the hospital to be sure. The doctor didn't seem to have anything bad to say about the ECA stack and made me take blood tests, vomit samples etc.. Nothing was found to be wrong. I would like to continue on the stack, but really was wondering if there was something I could substitute for the aspirin that might be a little more friendly on the stomach? I really am not sure what role the aspirin plays in the stack?
Thanks,
Jason

| In response to Jason's comments. You are taking the stack far too many times a day. I guess you would be experiencing bleeding. Take the stack once a day before your workout: 125mg of ephedrine, 200mg of caffeine and 300 mg of Aspirin. Once a day that's it. Stay on the stack for a limited time so your system does not get accustomed to the drugs.
I just finished a two week cycle of the stack. I play hockey a lot and noticed a definite improvement in my stamina as well as a 5 pound weight loss. I will now take two weeks off to let my system return to normal before going back on it. Please note I have monitored my heart rate as well as my blood pressure and I was checked out fully by my own physician. He was informed of the stack and had no problem with me taking it. Your rectal bleeding must be from a former problem or the increase in Aspirin. Good Luck.

I consulted a doctor before taking this stack and he informed me to take the 81 mg aspirin that has a coating on it. You can buy it at most pharmacies. This aspirin dissolves in the intestines, therefore, not inducing stomach problems. As for the dosage, everything I have read has said 1 to 10 ephedrine to caffeine or 25 mg ephedrine to 200 caffeine.
