Question: Which Calcium Supplements Dissolve Most Completely In The Body?
Which calcium supplements dissolve most completely in the body and why?
Answer #1
Calcium is usually found in Calcium Carbonate. But, the most absorbable form is calcium citrate (documented in the Amer J Med Sci 1996). Then I looked for Magnesium. If there aren't proper levels of magnesium you can't absorb your calcium as efficiently. Also you need vitamin D because it enhances calcium absorption in the small intestine (also in the Amer J Med). Then you need a product that has Boron because it reduces calcium excretion and increases deposition of calcium in the bone (1996 article by Nielsen ILSI Press, Washington D.C.). And lastly, silicon reduces calcium excretion and increases deposition of calcium in the bone, and that's why it's so important (Norman, 1996 ILSI press Washington D.C.). Knowing this, I found ActiCal made by USANA is the most absorbable and well balanced product and I think it has everything that people have to have.
Answer #2
Try Ericsson's Alka-Mine Coral calcium. You put it into water and drink the water. It contains calcium, magnesium, and about 70 other trace minerals. It is natural. It is ionic, so it is almost 100% absorbable by the body. It is the best form of calcium on the market.
