Consumer Review: Chromium Picolinate Gave Me Intense Headaches, But I'll Probably Keep Taking It.

By the third day of taking 200mcg of Chromium Picolinate I began to notice a VERY strong headache right in the center of my head. After 7 days the headaches had not decreased. I quit taking the C. P. for two days. The headache lessened the day after I quit and disappeared the second day.

I am a 63 yr old diabetic who weighs over 250 lbs. Way too much for a six foot male. I seem top be losing weight, my average blood sugar is going down and I have much greater energy that lasts longer and I recover from physical exertion more quickly.

If the headache is the only negative effect I will continue the therapy. My physician is unaware of Chromium Picolinate.

Chromium Picolinate can lead to DNA damage, per various studies with the most recent this year from University of Alabama. There are more reliable and safer means for diabetics to lose weight.
