Question: What Happens When Women Take Andro And/Or Creatine?
Anyone know what happens if females take Andro and/or creatine? I'm a female weight trainer and am naturally muscular. I am wondering if these drugs will boost my workouts or ad definition?

As a 105-pound, 5'4", 23 year old female, I started using creatine two days ago to boost muscle mass and to gain a few pounds. I have been supplementing my creatine dosage with 12 glasses of water. Nevertheless, I have been experiencing some troublesome side effects.
First, my heart races almost incessantly, similar to the effects of nervousness or restlessness one might experience prior to a job interview or an exam. Second, I don't just feel drowsy all day, I feel sleepy (and there is a difference!) Third, I feel sick to my stomach with extreme nausea. And, fourth, I have been experiencing bowel movements twice a day (although not diarrhea.) Are these side-effects common with initial usage and will they disappear with continued usage?
I am hoping that someone will have information on creatine's effects on women and whether gender-specific differences do exist.

I am a female taking approx. 30 mg of andro a night, twice a week. I use it for my sex drive. I take the product about an hour prior to sex and it is great! (Best gift I've ever gotten myself and husband!) I talked to the pharmacist and, at my dosage, there really is no reason to be concerned about "male" side effects! I've been taking it on and off for about 2 yrs. I'm still blond, blue, 5'6" and 120 lbs!!! Anyway, it's a great product and I recommend it, if only for the sex drive increase!

I am 39 years old, female, 5'4" 110 lbs, and I have been taking creatine for 4 days and I love it! They say it's not all that helpful for swimmers, but my strength and endurance increased already. The only side effect I have noticed is slight stomach cramping, but that has more or less disappeared.
Because of my small size I am taking 1/2 to 1/3 of the recommended "loading" dose and that seems to work just great! Try it, you might love it too!
Answer #4
Don't take either unless you want to experience extremely bad effects in the future!
Answer #5
You shouldn't take these chemicals, especially if you're a woman, unless you want to be she-man or the next Ms. Olympia.

This is a response to #4 and #5. Apparently you are less educated about these supplements than they are. Please research before you comment on something you can't even pretend to know about. It's too obvious you don't.

This is in response to answer #1. I have been supplementing with creatine on and off for 4 years now and I have had absolutely no side effects. Creatine monohydrate is naturally found in meats and fish. It is not gender-specific in any way whatsoever. All creatine does is bind extra water molecules in your voluntary muscle tissues so that more phosphate molecules may be present to form ATP (energy molecules) during exercise. The result is increased cell volumization, increased endurance, and quicker recovery periods between sets. As for the cramps and other side effects, they must be due to either eating habits, prescription drug interactions, too much creatine (5g day plenty) or too much water. For the average person, eight 8oz. glasses THROUGHOUT the day is great.
