Creatine

Consumer Review: If Creatine Sounds Too Good To Be True, That's Because It Probably Is.
I've been using creatine monohydrate for about five years now. I haven't experienced any harmful side effects however I'm not about to reject any new found information. With its use I've notice most of all an increased appetite. I'm not a doctor and I do not know the chemistry of the product however I have noticed increased gains during every period of usage. I would not be surprised if there are long term side effects. I remember one time after loading for a week, I didn't take a dump that entire week...and I normally go every day.

I'm not trying to be funny or anything but I've always believed that if something is to good to be true, then it probably is. Sure creatine got me some muscles but IS it really going to cost me my liver....my kidney's? Who knows. Until groundbreaking evidence comes out....you know what? Forget about groundbreaking evidence, UNTIL FACTUAL INFORMATION comes out, I'd rather just stay off of it. I've been working out heavy, stuffing my face, and drinking milk & egg protein shakes and the results have been fine. Now I'm not exactly Arnold Shwartzehoweveryouspellhisname but I'm healthy and I'm in good shape (which doesn't always mean healthy!). So my point is....if you don't know, then don't try it, because its really not worth it.

Response #1
I'd have to agree with you. I took Creatine for about a week before I was scared out of my body from what happened. I took it for a week and during that week, not only did I always feel bloated, but one day I had this really intense stomach pain. I had to leave work, that's how bad it felt. So until concrete information comes out, I'm going to lay off the stuff. Not even a Mr. Universe body is worth taking yourself out. I have a few friends that say I shouldn't take it because of its potential effects.
