| I began using creatine about three months ago and noticed some amazing results. I have push the bench from 225 for 6 reps to 270 for 8 reps. I have pushed my squat from 225 for 10 reps to 315 for ten reps. Quite impressive! But, I am not without some skepticism on it's long term effects. I am also and never been a drinker and probably have some pretty clean liver and kidney organs.
One of the things I took into consideration was that most colleges and professional football teams have their athletes using this product for the last three years. They did the "test driving" for me on this product and I believe that if the product was that bad, there would be an outcry from doctors everywhere. I have presently "Cycled off" Creatine and will stay lifting for the next two months without it and monitor my gains.
If anyone has some non-biased test studies on creatine, I would like to read them. Remember, no one product can be for everyone and picking out a couple problems and presenting them as the norm is irresponsible. We have a huge population of people who are allergic to peanuts and could die from them, should we ban peanuts? I don't think so but long term testing is needed.
