| Consumer Review: Creatine Improved My Strength But Also Gave Me Headaches And Made Me Feel Bloated. |
| I used creatine for approximately 2 months and saw nice gains in my strength while putting on about 7 lbs. to get up to 170 lbs. I definitely felt stronger and could see size gains as well.
I did occasionally have headaches within 5 minutes of taking a dose, particularly in the loading stage.
Also, I understand that the muscle cells supposedly retain more water, which is a plus...but I am wondering if FAT cells can retain water as well...I felt a bit bloated after the cycle and think my waste has expanded.

I used Creatine for a few months and not only did I experience headaches from using it but I also found myself to be very bloated as well. I eat a very clean diet (although I have a weakness for Pizza but I try to be good) and I am somewhat slender and tight (5'10, 160lbs) which is fine except my abs were still very tight but I was bloated also! What's up with that? I realize that the muscle cells retain water but even when I called the nutrition center where I purchased the Creatine, the manager told me that he doesn't take creatine for that reason. I think if you want to be "thick and big" creatine works fine I suppose (I know nothing of health studies). But for people who want to stay lean...I say avoid it...just work harder!
