Consumer Review: If You Take Ephedrine Long Term, Be Prepared For Emotional And Psychological Problems.
|
At age 21, I was close to 300 lbs. I was depressed and suffering from chronic fatigue. Per the advice of a medical student, I supplemented my training with an array of lipotropics (vitamins that help to emulsify adipose fat) including: B6, lecithin and the amino acid L-carnitine.
As I explored lipotropic combinations, I came upon thermogenics (Twinlab's Ripped Fuel in my case). Reading the label, I found that these substances were potentially harmful, even deadly.
It worked. I felt terrible, but I eventually built a tolerance. I cycled on and off of the substance, 3 weeks on 1 week off.
In less than one year, I dropped to 160 lbs. I now weigh in at 213. My musculo-skeletal system seems to have morphed. By that I mean that the way my body constructs muscle seems to have changed. The muscle I have built while using anti-catabolic "cocktails" is lean/striated. This may be attributed to my genetic code, but I like to think that it is due in part to the aforementioned vitamin/herbal supplementation.
Note: Ephedrine has the active ingredient in some asthma medicines as it has the ability to open bronchial passages. I am an asthmatic, ephedrine is a godsend. So besides the foreknown benefits, I no longer need an inhaler (nor am I hospitalized every 6 months.
My warning to all of you has not yet been mentioned. It has to do with long term use. See, if you continue taking ephedrine long-term, you may suffer emotional or psychological disruptions. If you research ephedrine properly you will find that the long-term side effects include depression, emotional outbursts, schizophrenia and more.
I learned the hard way. I lost my a lot of friends due to uncontrollable emotional outbursts, rage and tears. It is scary.
I have recently begun a thermogenic program again. This, I am sure, will be not my last. But I am now mindful of my cycles.
