Hydroxycut

Question: I Eat Healthy And Exercise Regularly, But I Can't Lose Weight. Should I Give Hydroxycut A Try?
I am a 32 year old female. From the time I was 4 until 21, I was very active physically. First dancing (ballet) and then serious weight training. Once I entered the working world, I didn't have the time to train like I used to. However, I'm paying the price -- my weight stays between 170-180 lbs and I'm 5-3. I've had my body fat tested and it's typically in the 22-25% range. (I take a size 8 or 10, so I'm not "large" in spite of my weight.)

Last year, I tried to increase how much I was training - both cardio and doing lighter weights with more reps. I was able to get my weight down to the high 150's, but no lower than that. Even still, my percentage BF stays about constant - so part of the weight loss is lean body mass and not just fat. The problem is that I don't have the time to train like that (2 hrs a day, 5-6 days a week). So my weight has gradually drifted back up.

I had a full medical completed recently and everything is fine other than a mildly abnormal liver reading that my GP said I shouldn't worry about. In fact, he was surprised with the extra weight that my bp was as low as it is (95/58), glucose levels normal as is everything else. I had a slightly higher testosterone level which the doctor wasn't surprised about given the amount of muscle bulk I carry.

Over the past few years, I've gone the route of seeing dietitians and nutritionists, including one specializing in sports nutrition. Nothing helped other than realizing it wasn't what I eat that is keeping my weight high. (I consistently have 1600-2000 cals 6 days a week, 2400-2600 cals the 7th so I don't GAIN weight and maintain a reasonably active lifestyle.) Again, if I cut my calories lower, I tend to lose lean body mass rather than fat.

My GP is a new one (I recently moved) and he went through the lecture about how even though all my tests came back fine, I should still try and lose weight. Problem is that when I do cut calories back more than what I'm at, I can't maintain a normal life. Even still, if I don't do my one day a week at higher calories, I tend to start gaining without increasing what I'm eating. (Probably my metabolism adjusting to the lower amount.)

Everything I've been reading about Hydroxycut leads me to believe I may be a good candidate for it. I do 75-80 minutes of exercise 5-6 days a week (35-50 minutes of cardio, stretches and weights). I eat healthy. I drink a good deal of water.

Am I off base in thinking this might work for me? What are the things I should know about or be concerned with? After hearing so many horror stories about products after they have already been on the market for a while, I'm reluctant to try something without knowing what the possible side effects may be.

Answer #1
Try Hydroxycut, I promise you it will help you out.

Answer #2
Try limiting your carbo intake, I had the same problem and was able to loose weight by limiting carbs or at least eating carbs with a low glycemic index (whole-grain bread, whole-grain pasta) and cutting down or avoiding high-glycemic carbs like carrots, white bread, also avoid SUGARS, most items are fat free but have plenty of sugar which causes you to gain weight. Hope this helps.

Answer #3
This person sounds identical to me. I am starting on the Hydroxycut tomorrow. I hope it helps as I get to 150 (I am now at 160--just stepped on the scale since Christmas---AGGHHH). I'm curious how quick this supplement will take off not only the holiday 10, but after 150 point. I hope it works. I exercise on my lunches, mom of three, have a full time job and a ranch in Wyoming. Something has to work!
