| Consumer Review: I Ordered A Supplement That Contained Ma Huang And It Was Destroyed By Australian Customs. |
I live in Australia. Substances which are available over the counter in the U.S. often are a controlled substance in Australia and require a controlled substance import license and permit to get them into the country and to me or whoever. Permits cannot be issued after the goods have arrived. So, if they are ordered and arrive and they are found to be a controlled substance and I do not have a permit, the goods will be destroyed as they are also a controlled export which also requires a permit and so I am unable to get money back. This happened earlier this year when I tried to import a supplement which contained Ma Huang.
