Question: What Do You Know About Metabolife Dietary Supplement 356?
What do you know about side effects, complications, and results of using Metabolife Dietary Supplement 356? The main ingredient is Chromium Picolinate 75 mcg..

Metabolife 356 is supplement that uses standardized Ma Huang, Guarana, Chromium Picolinate and 8 other natural herbs. It increases your metabolism while lowering your appetite. You can find it in malls for about $50 or on the web at various sites. The websites carry more information about it and also you can email them or put questions on their online forum.

I believe that Metabolife is heavily promoted through multi level marketing and multi level marketers' dreams of getting rich are more responsible for the product selling than any benefits Metabolife may actually provide. I received the junk email below and I have never purchased or distributed Metabolife. To all multi level marketers out there, you are making the manufacturers of the product(s) you push rich, not yourselves. Stop sending me your junk email.

"My name is Joan Xxxxxx, and I represent a company that on January 2 released a product practically identical to Metabolife. This company right now is the fastest growing network marketing company in the industry not only because they have an excellent line of products but also because they have a very high paying compensation plan for their distributors. So high, in fact, that some other networking companies have dissolved their company to join this company, bringing over their entire distributor force. Other networkers with large organizations in other companies have also walked away from 6 and 7 figure-a-year incomes to become part of our team.

Now I think Metabolife is an incredible product, and I know that you will be just as happy with the product that has come out with our company, so I worked up some statistics on the difference on how you would be compensated according to what the Metabolife website has posted there.

Metabolife uses the example of 5 distributors wide each sponsoring 5 who each purchase a case of product each month. And with this structure, on your first level, with those 5 distributors, at $20 per case that you would be paid on in your organization, you earn approximately $l00, correct?

Then on level 2 you would have 25 distributors at $20 per case which would give you $500 and 125 distributors on your 3rd level at $20 per case to you, which would give you $2,500. That's an approximate total of $3,100 for those three levels. Now, am I correct in my research in understanding that Metabolife pays you down through three levels only? I have talked to some of the Metabolife distributors who are first level to the company, and for some reason they are allowed to still be paid down through 6 levels, through some grandfather clause, but newer distributors can only be paid through 3 levels.

I went ahead and worked up what you would continue to get paid on levels 4, 5, and 6 if you were with our company. And on your 4th level alone you would have 625 distributors using that 5 x 5 ratio as Metabolife structured on their website, and you would earn an additional $12,500 on your 4th level with our company--$62,500 on your 5th level and $156,250 on your 6th level!

This company is Xxxx. They have produced 18 millionaires in 3 1/2 years. They have over 2,000 people that are earning a five figure-a-year income and over 200 people who are earning a 6 figure-a-year income, and in addition to that, they have about 33,000 distributors who receive monthly commission checks ranging from just a few dollars up to over $9,000/mo. They also have a one-time $500 bonus, a one-time $5,000 bonus, a one-time $10,000 bonus and a one-time $100,000 bonus when you reach different levels within the company. There are also car bonuses ranging from $100, $500, $750 and $1,000/mo depending again on what title you may have achieved within the company.

It costs only $11.95 to become a member with a yearly renewal fee of the same, just $11.95. Another nice bonus that they have is a bonus called an enroller's bonus which would be paid to you if you were on a minimum $100 autoship order each month yourself. This $100 autoship qualifies you to receive 31 1/2% commission on the first order up to the ceiling of $600 of any new member you enroll rather than the regular 8% bonus.

The cost of our new weight-loss product, called Slim Caps Ultra, at wholesale, is $24.95 per bottle which is a little under $300 per case, and distributors can buy it by the bottle or by the case. The recommended retail price is between $34.95. Of course, you are free to retail it for whatever price you want to. It can also be sold in kiosks in malls, and Xxxx will have samples that will be commissionable."

You really make me sick. Here we are talking about Metabolife, and off you rattle about how your product is better and cheaper. If you are advertising, then get your own website and pay for your advertising. And even going in detail about the pay plan!! You have SOME nerve. The majority of people that have posted here are ALLERGIC to the product in different ways and you just take up board space.

I took Metabolife 356 for three months, with very good results: a 35 lb. weight loss. I continued taking it for another month with absolutely no weight loss. The only things I lost were sleep and money. Also, several friends experienced problems with kidneys, irregular heart problems, and enlarged prostate. Most of the problems ceased when they stopped taking Metabolife under Doctor's orders. Let's face it, Metabolife 356 is basically speed. It is advertised as being an all natural organic product...well, so is cocaine.

Metabolife is like speed. The weight loss is mostly water, and it is temporary. My (NONPROFESSIONAL) opinion is that Metabolife is like drinking a lot of coffee - it gets you pumped up and more motivated to go and work out (PS - you will probably lose weight just by following the directions on the bottle - a sensible diet and exercise). Here are the health risks:

Ma Huang (ephedra) is an herb that contains ephedrine (think pseudofed, which is pseudoephedrine - a similar drug). Ephedra increases metabolism, and heart rate. It can cause dizziness, high blood pressure, nervousness, heart palpitations, and insomnia. Do not take Metabolife if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, or a thyroid condition.

Guarana is a natural form of caffeine Caffeine is a diuretic (it will make you dehydrated).

I swear by the stuff! After the birth of my son, I had gained at least 70 pounds (some old weight included!). I tried for months eating a good diet with exercise. I saw little or no results. A friend at the time was trying Metabolife for the first time...after hearing an ad on the radio in Cincinnati, Ohio. At the time, this was the only place that you could get it. We actually had it shipped to us! From December to May I lost a total of 54 pounds, and kept losing until I lost a total of 112 pounds! I went from a size 14-16 to a size 2! I felt great, had a lot of energy. I never experienced any kind of heart palpitations you hear about or anything. I did find I had to take my last pill before 6 p.m. if I wanted to sleep at night. I also found that if I didn't eat exactly to the hour of taking the pills, I experienced slight nausea (it went away as soon as I ate).

The best part about taking the pills was I really didn't have to be as strict with my diet, and I didn't crave all of the sweets. I have a huge appetite, and it controlled mine. I did, however, experience headaches after I quit taking the product, which seems to be the only downfall. They lasted about a week. I just gave birth to my second son, and have started the pills again (6 pounds down the first week on!). I am happy now that it is much less expensive this time around. Wal-Mart is selling it for $23.00 a bottle. I used to pay $54.00! Either way, I don't know how I would lose weight without it. I think it is just like everything else, O.K. when used in moderation.
