Consumer Review: As A Metabolife Distributor, I Believe Many Of The Negative Reviews Posted Here Are False.

I know for a fact, as someone that represents Metabolife to several customers, that most of these little "reviews" are bogus. Loss of hair? Irritability cost me a friend? Bad bowel movements? Combined with asthma inhaler gave heart palpitations (as for this one: read the label, duh). Seems to me that there are people who would just like to knock Metabolife because they are trying to sell something else. But the bottom line is: It's the only one that is clinically tested, it's the #1 seller, and it just works. Ask my thousands of customers who still buy it. It's a good thing. As for that loss of hair, maybe it's just time for some Rogaine.

Hi, I just read your topic and am completely shocked with your "duh, read the label" remark. I did some research on Metabolife today because I have asthma and wanted to make sure I could take it. My friend brought some Metabolife by my house yesterday. I did read the bottle and could not find one thing that says "do not take this product if you have asthma." So duh, maybe distributors should explain this when trying to make a buck, or duh, maybe they really should list it on the bottle.

As a Metabolife insider, I can confirm that there are many confirmed side effects of Metabolife. Your report says that Metabolife has been tested clinically. If you'll read the bottle, it states it was tested on "multispecies" for safety. The safety tests were not on humans...it was on dogs and rats. Metabolife did do one efficacy test at Vanderbilt University. It was done for only 1 day. Nobody knows long term if Metabolife or any other herbal diet aid works. The studies have not been done.
What you may not know is that there are multiple lawsuits from consumers claiming Metabolife has caused serious harm including death. The company would like for you to believe that these aren't directly related to Metabolife. They have hired an army of outside legal consultants to combat the claims.
The truth is that any product that contains ephedra alkaloids and caffeine together is somewhat dangerous. I know the FDA is trying to ban all of these products. If they do, I won't have a job anymore. It's your decision if you want to take Met or any other herbal weight loss aid. You could die, but at the same time you may not have any side effects.
For the record, as an employee and one that has seen the data, I will not take Metabolife 356 or any other ephedra based product. I'm totally healthy and intend on staying that way through diet and exercise.

Yeah, your attitude really makes me want to go out and buy your product. NOT! You and I both know that "clinically tested" can mean just about anything (see Response #2, apparently from somebody who's at least done a little reading). And Marlboro is the #1 selling cigarette - does that mean it's good for me? Until the FDA slaps some marketing guidelines on these kinds of products, use them at your own risk. And from feedback this page provides, I'll pass on Metabolife!

Your product is dangerous. If you were smart, you would sell something safe, like say, antiques. People are simply going to have to learn that if they want quality of life, they're going to have to get off their fat asses, exercise, and eat healthy food like veggies and fruits. Period. End of conversation.

I DID read the label! And your company said this product was SAFE. Although the product warns not to take "if you or your family has a history of..." and then proceeds to list a LONG list of ailments, Metabolife might be better off giving the warning, "Do not take if you or anyone in your family has a history of a pulse." My husband became manic depressive after taking this poison. And now we are seeking legal counsel!
