Consumer Review: I Became Irritable While On Metabolife And It Cost Me A Friend.
|
I took Metabolife for energy and it caused me irritability. I no longer get along with a someone because, while I was on it, it would make me be upset at little things. Is this a side effect?

Yes, I believe that being jittery is a side effect of ephedra and Ma Huang, which are both in Metabolife. I'm trying to take the supplement, but can only tolerate 1/2 a tablet once a day. Obviously, it's not for me but I'm hoping to build a resistance to it and be able to increase the amount I take. Hopefully, in the long run I'll be able to take it and consequently lose weight. They say it is also for energy and I believe it. Usually I can't sleep at night. Good luck.

I too had experienced irritability, but just thought that it was due to the change in eating habits along with Metabolife.

| You could be experiencing irritability because you aren't eating enough. Any time we cut our calorie intake, we become a little cranky. Be sure you are eating at least 3 healthy meals a day. Four to six small meals are preferable, as with any diet because it is easier for your body to digest small amounts of food. Do not let yourself go more than 4 hours without eating something. Also, do not take Metabolife after about 4 p.m. to avoid problems sleeping.
You should probably cut back your intake for a few days until your body adjusts if you are having problems. Be sure to drink plenty of water. You should be drinking at least 16 oz for each pill you are taking. If you drink an 8 oz glass of water every 2 hours, you should be in good shape!
Good Luck!!
