Consumer Review: When It Comes To Weight Lifting, Supplements Are Nothing More Than Placebos.
|
I've been lifting off and on for 15 years (I'm 30), and I've used all of the "flavor-of-the-month" supplements--smilax was popular in the late 1980's, chromium picolinate in the early '90's, creatine, HMB, andro, etc. They only work for me as placebos. None of them really do anything, at least not relative to the price. Bust your ass in the weight room, eat right, and save your money. The only "supplements" that work are all anabolic steroids and I'm not willing to trade my heart, liver, and testicles for a few more pounds on the bench.
