| Consumer Review: Several Of My Friends Reduced Arthritis Pain And Swelling By Using MSM. |
I know several people who have been helped by dietary sulfur supplementation in the form of MSM (methylsuflonylmethane). It eases the aches of arthritis, and reduces swelling. It is also extremely safe, with no negative side-effects.
Research has shown that arthritic cartilage has greatly reduced sulfur content. MSM supplementation restores sulfur to the body, and, since most Americans are chronically sulfur-deficient, has other health benefits.
You can buy pure MSM in capsules or as a powder. It is slightly bitter, so I just add it to my orange juice (it tastes a bit like grapefruit juice then.) Many places sell MSM now, including Walgreen's. Buy the pure powder -- I tried a MSM/glucosamine mixture and had unpleasant side-effects. You can also use it in cream form, for direct application to joints. You can use it externally while still taking it internally. The cream also softens skin and scar tissue.
A good book on the subject is "The Miracle of MSM" by Stanley Jacob, Lawrence, and Zucker. Two of the authors are doctors, and have used MSM extensively in their practice, and with their own families.
Try this stuff! Then spread the word. I have already helped my friends by telling them.
