Consumer Review: Buying Myoplex From GNC In Canada Is A Complete Rip Off.
|
While on a business trip last week in New York, I walked into a GNC and purchased a few EAS Myoplex DELUXE bars for $2.10 each. Just today, I walked into a GNC in Toronto, Canada and almost laid an egg when I saw and EAS Myoplex (not DELUXE because they can't be sold in Canada) for a whopping price of $5.49! These prices are before the 20% off offer. Pointing this out to the sales clerk, he actually with a straight face, tried to justify that the US vs CDN dollar is the difference. "Apples and Oranges" he repeated. He obviously did not graduate in math nor does he have a clue of the exchange rate. The conversion would work out to about $3.20 CDN. Pointing this out, he still didn't get it. Rip off!

One must understand that prices in Canada are not based on American prices plus the currency conversion rates. Most items in Canada are SIGNIFICANTLY higher in this country. It has always been this way.

I disagree with Response #1. I've lived almost my entire life in Canada and I've been recently living in the US now for a few years. Things are often much cheaper in Canada than the US.

GNC is just a complete rip-off anyway you put it. Go to Vitamin Shop stores if you have them. Myoplex 42 pack in GNC=$100 as compared to Vitamin Shop= $70. GNC lives off the uneducated customer and novice bodybuilder.

Just check the internet, I have found Myoplex Plus for as little as $55.00 for a 42 box which included free shipping on orders over $75.00.
