I took Lorcet 10/650, essentially the same as Lortab but a little stronger, for 3+ years. I wound up with a narcotic addiction that eventually led to black market searches for opiates (including heroin). The addiction potential of hydrocodone (the active ingredient in lortab) is VERY severe!
As for the other dangers, the only one that I am aware of is the damage done to the liver by the by the high amounts of acetaminophen (Tylenol) present in the pills. I am sure that I will receive various arguments on the following statement. I have found from years of reading various types of literature on the subject, that the PURE form of any type of opiate, aside from self-inflicted damage resulting from addiction, has no significant negative effects on the human body whatsoever.
I wish it to be known that I am neither a doctor nor scientist of any type, however, I have studied subjects such as this for over 15 years. I would greatly appreciate any further information on this subject.
Thank you,
Lane
