Consumer Review: The LorTab My Dentist Gave Me Produced A Wonderful High.

My dentist put me on Lortab because he performed excessive gum surgery. I am just about to finish up my prescription & know of the addictive nature of Lortab--and I do notice the "high" I get from the medicine. Besides running 12 miles a day, what else can I do to re-create that wonderful high long after the meds are all gone?

Don't play with a loaded gun. Lortab is a narcotic, hence the 'high' feeling. It also can have some adverse side effects due to the Hydrocodone it contains. If you feel like you need to get 'high' to escape from your troubles, you may have a mild case of depression. If you just want to get high to be getting high, then I suggest buying some marijuana. It can be smoked or ingested. No study I have ever read has suggested that marijuana is physically addictive. Studies show that occasional use of marijuana is less dangerous than just about any other drug. I do not condone the use of any drug without medical reasons, but I personally feel that marijuana is a 'safer' drug than is narcotics, alcohol, etc. Marijuana is illegal. Using medications that are not prescribed to you by a physician is illegal. If you choose to play the game, don't whine when you are arrested.

I became addicted to Lortab after being given them for pain from an ovarian cyst. I have an addictive personality, so no one who knows the properties of Lortab was surprised. I got to the point of stealing my father's Lortab given to him for pain after an amputation. If you have an addictive personality, smoking pot is not a good idea either. Escaping reality in any way will only cause a person heartache later on, for them and their families.
