Consumer Review: Medical Marijuana Is The Only Thing That Has Eased The Pain From My Bone Spurs.
|
Hello, I have severe pain in my cervical spine from Bone Spurs on my discs. I have tried many prescription drugs and narcotics for these..which are very debilitating... It is hard to walk, sit, do anything without pain and misery. The only thing that has worked non-invasively on me in the way of Natural Herbal remedies is MEDICAL MARIJUANA.
I am in Canada and applying to my government for a license to grow and self-medicate with the herb. While the powerful narcotics made my stomach bleed, made me feel disoriented and groggy, I find the cannabis is wonderful for being non-toxic, safe, and easy to administer the dosage when needed. You can smoke MJ, make it into a Tea, or bake or cook with it. Smoking is the easiest and best method for me.
Thanks
Bob B.

The pain relief you're feeling is your getting high. Your brain is shutting down many of its impulses for that period of time. Smoking pot is not the answer.

I have been a marijuana user for a few years now and I just read your review about bone spurs and then there was a review on that saying that the relief felt after use of marijuana is simply the 'high' effect, which is not true. The high you feel does not relieve physical pain. Now, I may agree that it may trigger neuro-stimuli to help relieve that specific pain, but in all my years as a marijuana user it has never been good at relieving pain, and the person who submitted that review must not have any experience as a private smoker.

I agree that marijuana is not effective for relieving many types of pain, but may actually seem to increase the pain for certain people. As a casual user, I disagree that the "high" is not what's stopping the pain. Everyone is not the same, and I feel that it should be available for medical use as it is much less addictive than many prescription pain killers. This I know from personal experience. I know at least 10 times more people addicted to pills than pot. I honestly believe marijuana is much less addictive than cigarettes.

OK, first off there is no such thing as medical pot. There is only pot, pot. You know, the kind that grows on plants. There are thousands of other natural extracts, herbs, etc. that one can use for pain besides weed. Coming from me, who who used to be a heavy smoker and grower of pot, I truly feel that 99% of all these "burn-outs" who say I smoke weed for medical purposes, are just using that as an excuse to smoke. Even worse, they're using it as an excuse and reason to justify to others why they are burn-outs.
Now I DO agree that marijuana has MANY medical benefits. However, smoking it is NOT the way to medically use it. I don't care what you think or say, I KNOW, I have been there and done that. I used to say that myself about the pain and how weed helps me, etc. Now, after all this TRUTH, if you are still going to smoke weed and claim that it's for medical reasons, at least do this. Smoke it in a vaporizer. You may have to smoke more to get your little high, but it will cut down most of the UNHEALTHY side effects of using this drug. Lets face it, ANY smoke of ANY kind in the lungs is not good. Take care and try to discover other natural, effective sources and ways to ease pain.
