Paxil

Consumer Review: I'm 16 And My Doctor Put Me On Paxil After I Had My Baby. Now I See A Paxil Ad On TV Saying It's For People 18 And Over.
I am 16 years old and I have been on Paxil for just a couple of weeks. My doctor put me on the medication because people said I was having mood swings. I have a 10 month old baby, and they said I may be going through postpartum depression. They told me that usually lasts one to two years in young teenage mothers. The doctor said I should stay on it until I think I am feeling better. I don't think I am having mood swings at all. The doctor said the person having them usually can't tell. The doctor also told me there was NO side effects and it is not an addictive drug.

I have only been on Paxil for two and a half weeks, and for the past three days I have woke up with my eyes feeling like they are jumping, and I start sweating really bad and get really weak. I have never done anything like that before. A lot of things have happened to make me be depressed, so I thought maybe the medication would be good at first. Then I saw a commercial on TV about Paxil and it said it was only for people 18 and over and I heard them say some side effects. That is why I decided to get on the computer and find out exactly what this medicine is for. Does anyone have any advice? After I heard what this is putting other people through, I realized what it could do to me. Should I quit now before the major side effects start happening? Someone please help!
