Question: What Are Phentermine's Side Effects, And Is It Addictive?

Can Phentermine be addictive? What are its side effects? I have a friend who has been taking it for a while, but she is afraid to stop taking it because she thinks she is going to gain weight. Is that true? Thank you so much for answering my questions. I will really appreciate it.

I was on the drug Phentermine for 1 month and my ankles began to swell. I have heard that this was a side effect of the drug, but I would like to know if this is something that will go away. And if so, how long will it take? It has been 4 weeks since I noticed the swell in my ankles and they are still swollen some, but not like they were. Also, I have had and currently still have pains in my knees. Please let me know ASAP.
