My friend is 13 and is on 50 milligrams of Prozac. What other medication can he take as an alternative to Prozac that would have the same effect?

Prozac and other selective seratonin reuptake inhibitors are able to suppress some of the symptoms of depression, but, as with all drugs, it's better to attack the cause. A worthwhile alternative is the Buteyko breathing method. It was originally exported from Russia to deal with Asthma, but it also can have major benefits to sufferers of Depression and anxiety.
