Ritalin

Consumer Review: Ritalin Has Done Miracles For My 10 Year Old Son's ADHD.
I am a mother of a 10 year old boy who has ADHD. I can honestly say that Ritalin has helped him tremendously. Before beginning Ritalin 3 years ago, my son had trouble focusing, concentrating, and sitting still. He talked all the time; non stop. His grades were suffering and school in general was hard for him. Because of the ADHD, other children labeled him as an outcast.

The teachers repeatedly told us that we were wasting our time giving him a pill--until 3rd grade when he went without the Ritalin one day and the teacher saw the remarkable difference that the medicine makes. He is able to concentrate on his work, focus, stay seated, and be quiet. He has changed schools since then because of the attitude of the staff at his former school and is now doing 100% better than he ever did without Ritalin He is a very bright child with a lot of potential, but the ADHD would hold him back without the Ritalin. I am not advocating that all people take Ritalin. This, as with any other medicine, may work for some, but not all. There are other medicines out there that may help if Ritalin is not the right one for you.

My son is 21. Is it ever too late to seek help for a person that you think might suffer from this problem. My son was tested as a child, and we were told he had dyslexia. I don't remember the term ADHD ever being used, but the descriptions I have seen on the net describe him exactly. Is it too late for help for him?
