Question: Could Steroids Help Grow My Ligaments To Improve Flexibility For Martial Arts?
|
After years or body building and steroid use I have retired and taken up martial arts (wing chun). I have found that after years of heavy incorrect training (no stretching before and after) that my flexibility is very restricted, as my muscles and ligaments have shortened considerably. If I use steroids again for stretching exercises only, will this help the growth of my ligaments for improved flexibility? I know that I should not use them, but if I did would it help?. I am 38 years old and time is not on my side.

Steroids will increase your muscle greatly, but it will not really increase your ligaments or tendons, which is a common problem. As for flexibility, it will require MUCH more stretching every day just to stay the same.
