| I've been reading a number of submissions on this site, and had to put my six cents worth in here. I'm currently 35 years old and 100% drug-free. That wasn't always the case. I used steroids from ages 19-24. I've been told that a lot of the steroids have changed and all since then, but then again, everyone told me I had nothing to worry about when I took them then, and that all the bad stuff you heard were exaggerations.
Well, speaking from actual personal experience (by the way, I tried most popular steroids out there, e.g. dianabol, deca, anavar, anadro-50, winstrol-v, etc.), I have had so many problems since then, that it is the single biggest thing in my life that I wish I could take back. After taking roids for only two years (and I always cycled, i.e. six weeks on, four weeks off, took HCG on my off-cycle), I developed an adrenal tumor. I had to have one of my adrenal glands removed. You would think I would have stopped after that. Well, I was so addicted mentally that I continued for another 2 to 2 and a half years. My biggest problem since then, and it is still a huge problem for me even 10 years later, is that my immune system is very weak (no, I don't have AIDS--thank God!).
I have since done extensive research on roids, and one thing you don't hear as much about (you hear about the roid rage, kidney and liver failure, acne, hair-loss, etc.) is that both anabolic and catabolic steroids suppress the bodies immune system. So, if any of you out there using them, gradually you'll find yourselves starting to get flus and colds more frequently. Beware, your immune system is probably starting to weaken and could be on the way to permanent damage! If someone had told me what I am writing here about all the side-effects (in my time, there was not as much research out there as there is now), I am positive that I would NEVER have started steroids, NEVER NEVER NEVER!
Again, I am speaking from personal experience, and I realize that not everyone has the same experiences, but is it even worth taking the chance? I don't think so! So, all you teenagers out there, my advice is stick to the natural stuff. It's true you will never get as BIG as the steroid users, but you will still get very big, and most importantly, you will be healthy. When the roid user gets a problem with his kidney or liver or immune system or stunts his or her growth, then you will be twice as strong as he is and this will be for the long-term! God, I wish I had never taken roids!
P.S. When I first started on roids, I felt great and on top of the world. I felt total invincibility and I gained more strength in two weeks than I had in five years prior. Don't let the initial benefits make you blind to the long-term side effects!
