Question: Is It OK To Take SAM-e While I'm On Zoloft?

I take 100mg of Zoloft once each day. I was advised by a physician to take one 200mg tablet of SAM-e three times each day. Is it OK to do this?

I read your question and have wondered the same thing myself since it is a new thing on the market. I too take 100 mg Zoloft daily. I am curious though---have you asked your doctor why he wants you to take both at the same time? Is he trying to wean you from Zoloft?

Also, I have been taking Zoloft for 1 1/2 years and found that, after a few months, the medication did not seem to work as well. Hence, it was increased. Any experience in this area?
