Zoloft

Consumer Review: When My Zoloft And Buspar Supply Ran Out, I Started Feeling Light Headed And Unbalanced.
Well, it was sure refreshing to know that I was not going crazy. I was feeling intermittent lightheadedness and momentary losses of equilibrium. I figured that maybe it was my reducing of the drugs that did it. I was between jobs/benefits, so I tried to stretch the Zoloft and Buspar pills out rather than be totally without them for a long stretch of time.

These symptoms became more and more distracting and apparent as the drug levels in my body decreased. What I was not aware of was the subtle, yet significant effect the withdrawal from Zoloft and Buspar had on my thought processes. I began to exhibit some of the same feelings of hopelessness and distraught that I had previous to beginning the prescription. That side-effect has been the scariest. It allowed both my depression and anxieties stealth back in to my consciousness--a fact that I had not considered until I read some of the other testimonials. It also proves to me just how effective the drug combo was in quelling the ravaging effects that depression can have. I was prepared for the weird feelings I experienced as a result of my self imposed "weaning", but did not consider how this "weaning" would affect my behaviors and my perceptions. So, I can conclude (once again) that everything is not happening to me as I started to fear.

Response #1
After reading the first testimonial of a person "suffering" withdrawal symptoms from these two drugs, I could identify with the symptoms described. Due to the Christmas holidays, I inadvertently let my zoloft and buspar prescriptions run out. Even though my doctor said these drugs were safe from withdrawal symptoms, I will inform him differently at my next appointment. As luck would have it, I am changing psychiatrists soon. After two or three days, I noticed light-headedness, dizziness, anger, crying jags and other feelings of unwellness. Due to the processes of my HMO, which I am also considering changing, I don't at this time know when I will get my meds. I am not too concerned about the buspar at this point, but when I finish this I am going to call and bug someone until I find out what in blazes is going on. To all of you out there in this predicament, God be with you, as I know none of us wants to go back to the place we were before zoloft.
