Consumer Review: Zoloft Helped Reduce My Depression, But I Stopped Taking It Because Of The Potential For Addiction.
|
I took zoloft for about 2 1/2 months for depression and it helped my suicidal thoughts go away, but I decided that I needed to get off of them because I did not want to be addicted. They worked wonders for me but I do not think you should use them for a long period of time due to the addiction.

Zoloft is not addictive. It is one of the safest and most effective antidepressants available. Clinical depression has a physical cause, and Zoloft takes care of that. Some people need to be on it for months, years, or even a lifetime. If your depression does not return, that's great. But if it does, talk to your doctor and she/he can put your mind at ease to start taking it again. Legitimate use of drugs is not addiction. After all, are diabetics considered to be addicted to insulin?
