Consumer Review: Saw Palmetto Cleared Up My Urinary And Prostate Troubles Where Prescription Drugs Had Failed.
When first introduced to Saw Palmetto some three years ago, I was beyond skeptical of how this product would actually work, or better yet, would it work for my problems over the years with prostititis, urinary strictures, inflamed areas around the prostate and urethra, etc. After having numerous surgeries for the above, including at least ten cystoscopy procedures to open the strictures caused by the enlarged prostate, I was willing to try anything.
After three months of doses of 900 mg twice daily (four saw palmetto tablets), I began to notice no pain upon urination, no pain upon sexual performance and orgasm, and a true relief from the symptoms. I now take the same dose as before religiously, and have been free of all problems. My urologist is a proponent of the Saw Palmetto program as a result of this, and all other medications have ceased for myself. He now prescribes this religiously to all of his older AND younger patients. My problems began when I was 27, and now at 39, I am symptom free.

I'm having good results and trying to convince other men to stay away from hytrin. My dosage is not that large yet.
