Consumer Review: I Have Gained Weight And Experienced Swollen Hands, Feet, And Eyes While Using Saint John's Wort.

My doctor had me on Paxil for 6 months--gradually lowering the dosage to zero in October. She recommended St. John's Wort instead, beginning in November. I have experienced a 10 lb weight gain and have constant swelling (hands, feet, sometimes eyes). Is this common? Should I reduce dosage or quit this supplement completely?

I have a feeling that you are experiencing an allergic reaction to St. John's Wort. I would advise ceasing your usage.
