Question: Could St. John's Wort Be The Cause Of Female Hair Loss?

Is it preposterous to question whether or not SJW is the cause of a sudden loss of hair at the age of 60? I just now thought of that as an explanation. I am a woman, and my brothers got bald early. My mother (the baldness gene is carried by the mother, but normally passed only to sons) died in her early 70's with a full head of beautiful hair. I was just wondering, since it's the only thing I have been doing differently during the past couple of months, and I only noticed it happening in the last month. It's so serious I bought a wig.
