Question: I Am A 15 Year Old Nationally Ranked Power Lifter. I Need To Know If Tribulus Would Show Up As A Steroid In A Blood Test?
|
Hi, I am a nationally ranked power lifter for my age, 15, and growth hormones are obviously illegal when we get to national and world competitions. I know that Tribulus can increase testosterone, but I want to know if it is a growth hormone or if it would show up on a urine or blood test as a steroid because it does, in fact, increase testosterone levels. Also, at age 15, I know andro is unsafe and illegal in my sport, but if Tribulus is not a growth hormone, would it be safe for me anyways?

I don't think it will appear as a steroid. It can increase you testosterone levels, but it's not a hormone itself, and it is legal. As long as it is legal, you should be able to use it without precautions.

Tribulus is a legal supplement (although constantly under review), and is therefore safe to have in your system in terms of drug detection. The possible problem is that it can raise your testosterone level, and if you naturally had a high testosterone level, theoretically it could raise your levels above the acceptable limit. However, it is unlikely in my opinion.
