| About 12 months ago I stopped working out because I had a cold. I had been doing free weights, bench press, curls, heavy dead lifts, etc.). This has been a pattern for many years. I work out for a few months and I get a cold, flu, etc. If I don't work out, I don't get sick. I didn't work out for a year and I had no cold or flu even though family members were getting sick (I was missing work to care of them).
I have always been taking Mega C (3-5 grams a day), along with other multivitamins and minerals. To get to the point, I have been working out very heavy for 4 months now without a sniffle. Again, family members have been sick, but not me. I attribute this to the only change in my routine...Vitamin E. I now take Mega E with Mega C. To be exact, I take a generic brand from Wal-Mart of natural E and natural C. I take 1.5 grams of C in the morning with 800 IU's of E. And another 1.5 grams of C at night and 800 IU's of E. Is it the placebo effect or do I have something?
